With regard to materials for communication pur poses stored by the Ministry in Hong Kong and Kowloon and requisitioned by the Hong Kong Government during the war, we have not received any payment whatsoever for same. the Hong Kong Government had arranged to have such requi- sitions declared after the war we had in August last written to you, sending therewith a detailed list of the losses we had suffered and asking you to apply as Agents

on our behalf to the Hong Kong Government Fly as Agents

More than half a year has now elapsed, yet we have not received any reply from you. We wonder when the Hong Kong Government did transmit the claim to London and how the British Government would deal with the matter as well as the recent dent of our cane. Your inform- ation concerning this will be appreciated.
